ZLG is building new vehicle network test equipment from the same CAN XL and TSN IP primitives available to chip designers. The initial CAN XL analyzer prototype is complete, with a deterministic Ethernet switch planned next. The shift is test equipment moving in lockstep with the network architecture instead of arriving after OEMs have already built custom validation rigs.
CAST's CAN controller implements Classical CAN, CAN FD, and CAN XL under ISO 11898-1:2024, with timestamping, filtering, drivers, and verification resources for ASIC and FPGA targets. Its TSN switch adds time synchronization, traffic shaping, scheduling, frame preemption, and sub-microsecond cut-through latency. ZLG can carry those behaviors into its analyzers, loggers, and ZXDoc software while preserving the same protocol assumptions across R&D, production, and test.
Automotive teams evaluating CAN XL should demand one traceable set of compliance tests across the controller IP, FPGA prototype, analyzer, and production station. Tool vendors that implement new vehicle networks from packet captures after silicon ships will lose the validation window to suppliers that start from the production IP.
